Following the success of the 2025 Snow Gaymes, it’s time for the 2026 Snow Gaymes!
The Snow Gaymes are a fun team competition taking place during European Snow Pride 2026 and are accessible at no extra cost with the Standard Event Pass (prior registration is required on Saturday 22 March, the day of arrival, with our Customer Service).
The events
The competition consists of 6 events taking place from Sunday to Friday on and off the slopes. The events will be contested individually by team or by team as follows:
Individual team events
Each team designates one of its members to take part in the following events. The same member can only take part in one event.
- Parallel slalom: downhill 2 by 2, on a specially prepared slope.
- Karaoke: perform your favorite songs.
- Drag race: an easy run down the track in drag costume.
Team event
- Snow tubbing: grouped descent in buoys, on a specially prepared slope.
- Best costumes: during the Pride evening, our jury will award a prize to the team whose members all wear the best costume.
- Riddle: a riddle will be given to each team at the beginning of the week, and they will have the whole week to try and solve it.
Apart from the parallel slalom, the events do not require any particular level of skiing/snowboarding and will take place at the bottom of the pistes or off-piste outside lift opening hours.
Ranking
Each day, a 5-member jury will award points to the various teams according to their performance and will draw up a provisional ranking. At the end of the last race on Friday, the jury will decide on the final rankings and the top 3 teams will be rewarded.
Criteria for awarding points
- Snow tubbing, parallel slalom: timing
- Drag race: timing, originality and style
- Karaoke: applause meter
- Costume/Pride night: all team members dressed up, keeping to the theme, originality
- Riddle game : number of points awarded according to the number of riddles solved
Provisional programme
The schedule may be subject to change due to weather or organizational constraints:
- Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: snow tubing, in teams. Meet at the Snowtubing chalet next to the Val Claret roundabout.
- Monday 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: drag race (Chalet du Bollin), individual by team. Comfortable on black pistes’ level required. RV chalet du Bollin in Val Claret.
- Tuesday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: parallel slalom, individual by team. Comfortable on black pistes’ level required. Meeting point: “Cabane du stade Evolution2”, at the foot of the Tichot chairlift.
- Wednesday from 9:30 p.m.: karaoke at the Arobaze café in Val Claret, individual or in teams. Meeting at Arobaze Café
- Thursday from 10:00 pm: costumes, all teammates. Pride party at Tignespace in Tignes le Lac
- Friday, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm: riddle, all teammates. Answers to be handed at the après-ski at Le Cocorico in Val Claret.
The provisional rankings for each day and the final rankings for Friday will be announced at Cocorico at 5.00 p.m. and the prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams at Cocorico at 5.30 p.m. on Friday.
